What this site is

Breed Health Score provides data-led, informational health scores and summaries for dog breeds. It provides independent, data-led estimates for comparing breeds and is not veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified vet about an individual animal.

Accuracy

We work from published data and a transparent method, but we make no warranty that everything is complete or error-free. Scores are estimates for comparison, not predictions for any single dog.

Data and attribution

Median-lifespan data is from McMillan et al. 2024, used under CC-BY 4.0. Our derived scores and pages are our own. If you use our JSON API, please attribute Breed Health Score and respect the underlying data licence.

Links and affiliates

We may link to third-party sites and include affiliate links; see our affiliate disclosure. We are not responsible for external content.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, this site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
