Trapped neutrophil syndrome in dogs
An inherited immune defect where infection-fighting white blood cells become trapped in the bone marrow instead of entering the bloodstream. Affected puppies fail to thrive and suffer repeated, hard-to-treat infections, and it is usually fatal early in life.
